My name is Dustin Nephi Slade. I grew up on a 200-acre farm in northwest New Mexico, where I fed cows, irrigated, cut, and baled hay, and drove tractor. I now reside in the magnificent Bighorn Basin in Cody, Wyoming, where I spend most of my free time writing, exploring the nearby mountains, and making dinosaur growls for my strong-silent-type three-year-old and pretending to be whichever prince is counterpart to my five-year-old princess.

I have extensive experience advising businesses ranging from startups to multi-billion dollar corporations. My legal work has included drafting a wide range of transactional documents, including founders’ suites, employment agreements, lease agreements, services agreements, asset purchase agreement suites, and other types of business agreements and corporate formation and governance documents. I also have a new cryptocurrency law practice, helping blockchain companies take advantage of Wyoming’s crypto-friendly laws and regulations.

I have litigated scores of commercial litigation and breach-of-contract cases, including employment, securities, real estate, financial regulation, RICO, personal injury, products liability, FLSA wage-and-hour, collections, and constitutional civil rights disputes.

I studied political science at Brigham Young University, graduating summa cum laude. While at BYU, I interned in the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and helped prepare for publication many political science books and articles, including a best-selling United States government textbook.

I earned my Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and there completed a Seevak Fellowship and study abroad in Santiago, Chile.

I am licensed in Wyoming, Texas, and New Mexico and have been admitted to practice in the supreme courts of each of these states and in several federal courts, including the Supreme Court.
